Sam Cordish ’17 Commits to Penn Lacrosse
Congratulations to Park senior Sam Cordish for committing to play lacrosse at The University of Pennsylvania! The Penn Quakers play at the NCAA’s Division 1 level as part of the Ivy League conference.
As a goalie, Sam will play the same position at Penn as his great uncle, also named Sam Cordish, who played for the Quakers in the late 60s and early 70s.
After the recruiting process started his sophomore year, Sam visited many different schools, but Penn was always his top choice. The people and coaches in particular stood out, assuring him that it was the right place.
“I’m really excited to be able to play lacrosse at Penn. It’s something I’ve been doing since I was five years old, and to be able to continue to play the sport I have enjoyed so much over the years is pretty special. Park is definitely a big part of why I value the game so much. Athletics here have been challenging while always being some of the most fun parts of my time at school. I think Park’s balance of academics and athletics has not only allowed me to love competing, but has also allowed me to get the most out of the experience.”

Good luck at Penn, Sam! Go Bruins!
