The Park School…

We are a progressive school educating students from Pre-Kindergarten (age 4) through Grade 12 on a 100-acre wooded campus two miles north of the city line.

We are a co-educational school founded over 110 years ago in response to limited choices for independent school education in Baltimore. As a leading progressive institution in Baltimore, we serve as a model for other schools, emphasizing child-centered, individualized education that encourages a high degree of engagement with academics, the community, and the natural world.

Challenging the common practices at the time of our founding, we opened the school to many, and continue to commit to sustaining a diverse environment where multiple perspectives are encouraged and valued.

“We chose Park because we saw a lot of families that we knew who were going to Park whose children are really happy. Their children are thriving, learning, and becoming responsible individuals. We really value that combination of social, intellectual, and emotional development, so we felt that Park would be the best fit.”
– The Gupta/Sumner Family
