Strategic Plan Community Design Day

Category:

On Saturday, January 7, over 80 members of the Park community — parents, students, faculty and staff, alumni, trustees, and former trustees — came together for our Strategic Plan Community Design Day

Thank you to all who participated. As we have heard from many of our participants, it was wonderful to be together, to meet new people and connect with longtime friends, and to think boldly and creatively about The Park School of the future. It was a terrifically productive day of focus and attention on the central ideas that have emerged from the work of the Strategic Planning Committee over the last six months. In this extended session (9 a.m. – 3 p.m.), we applied a design-thinking approach to some core themes — generating new ideas, prototyping solutions, and testing those ideas with all present.

The Strategic Planning Committee met the following week to continue its work incorporating the range of thoughts and ideas generated on Community Design Day, as well as the input it has received from the larger community. In the coming weeks, our faculty and staff will have the opportunity to engage more fully in this stage of the process, and our Board will invest time in bringing their perspective to all of the strategic planning work to date.

We expect to share a finished plan with the community in late spring.
