Park Welcomes Terry J. Benton-Walker as 2024 Peter Baida ’68 Writer-in-Residence

Category:

Today, we welcomed author Terry J. Benton-Walker as our 2024 Peter Baida ’68 Middle School Writer-in-Residence.

Terry writes middle grade and young adult fiction and has two books out right now, Alex Wise vs the End of the World and Blood Debts, both of which have sequels coming out in the next few months.

He spent the day sharing his story and leading writing workshops with the 6th Grade. Students enjoyed creating their own superheroes — deciding what powers they possess, what conflicts they will face, who is their archenemy — as they dove further into the world of creative writing. Thank you for a fantastic day, Terry!
