Fourth Grade Travels to Ellis Island

Last week, the fourth grade traveled to Ellis Island as part of their study of Immigration Then and Now. This field trip allowed students to follow in the footsteps of the millions of immigrants who came through Ellis Island between 1892-1954. Students heard first-hand stories of those who came through Ellis Island, saw historical photographs, read facts, and gained a better understanding of the role this station played in the story of America.
