Bronwyn Downs ’26 Receives 2026 IAAM Sportsmanship Award

Congratulations to Bronwyn Downs ’26 on receiving the 2026 IAAM Sportsmanship Award this spring! Throughout her time at Park, Bronwyn was a source of positivity and leadership for everyone fortunate enough to have her as a teammate, captain, or even an opponent.

Director of Athletics Robin Cardin Lowe ’84 was quoted in the award announcement, saying, “It’s her authenticity. She understands the importance and impact of athletics and never leaves anyone behind—even when it’s hard.”

Along with being a standout athlete on the Varsity Field Hockey and Lacrosse teams, Bronwyn’s impact extended beyond the field. Robin continued, “Even in the classroom, she encourages teachers and students to be the best versions of themselves.”

The Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland (IAAM) is an organization consisting of 29 private and parochial schools in and around the Baltimore metropolitan area, including seven counties and Baltimore City, that participate in girls’ interscholastic sports. The IAAM oversees more than 400 varsity and junior varsity teams in 14 sports.
