2014-2015 Year in Review
Happy Summer break! As the 2014-2015 school year comes to a close, we wanted to share some highlights.
This year, we dedicated the new Kelly Turf field and honored the contributions of Garry Cerrone and Lucky Mallonee to Park.
We also celebrated long-standing Park traditions such as, Autumn Harvest, Exploratory Learning Week, and May Day.
The 2014-2015 school year brought many engaging speakers to campus:
- Chris Herren
- Dr. Honi Bamberger
- Resident Scholar, Matthew B. Crawford
- Kate DiCamillo, Newberry-Winning Author
- Weinberg Resident Journalist, Aaron Henkin
- Millhauser Fellows, Ali Buchholz ‘03 and Jenny Cooper ‘04
- Frank Bruni
- Gil Strang
- Peter Baida ’68 Writer-in-Residence, Gayle Danley
- Diana Lee Fox ’75 Resident Artist, Michael Owen
Park students engaged with their local community by cleaning up the river on campus and the Habitat Build-A-Block initiative, their national community through the civil rights trip, and international community by conducting research in the Arctic.
