Sara Costa
Lower School Reading SpecialistAs a Lower School Reading Specialist, Sara provides targeted literacy instruction and support to students, collaborates with teachers and families to share insights, coordinates support, and promotes student success. She is a member of the Lower School Student Support Team.
Before joining Park, Sara worked for over 12 years in the private practice setting. Most recently, she owned and operated a private practice focused on supporting elementary aged students. “Seeing firsthand the connection between language and reading, I developed a passion for helping students develop the language and literacy skills that form the foundation for lifelong learning.”
Sara holds a B.S. and an M.A., both in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Central Florida. She is a licensed and certified speech language pathologist.
“Learning to read is one of the most important milestones in a child’s educational journey. Helping students navigate the transition from learning to read to reading to learn has been one of the most rewarding aspects of my work.”
