Julie Borsetti
Technical Theater DirectorJulie is Park’s Technical Theater Director. She teaches the Upper School Stagecraft elective, building sets for the productions as well as mentoring student lighting, sound, and prop designers. She also advises the fabulous Upper School Tech Crew club, and teaches eighth grade theater electives that support the eighth grade play.
Additionally, Julie manages and maintains the school’s performing arts spaces.
Julie is a long time theater teacher, and forever a theater kid at heart. Julie served for 12 years as the Technical Theater Director, Performing Arts Manager, Acting Teacher, Theater Director, and more at Sandy Spring Friends School in Sandy Spring, Maryland. Prior to becoming a teacher, Julie worked backstage in many different venues, from the prop shop at Baltimore’s Center Stage, to scenic painting at the Ford’s Theatre, Kennedy Center, Atlas Performing Arts Center, Glimmerglass Opera in upstate New York, and more.
Julie holds a B.A. in Theater from Towson University, graduating Summa Cum Laude, and an M.A. in Teaching from University of Portland, Oregon, graduating Magna Cum Laude. She is the parent of a Park student in the Class of 2037.
