Database Manager and Web TechnicianAs the Database Manager and Website Technician, Hope supports teachers, students, faculty, administrators, and parents and guardians with clear, timely, accurate, and secure information.
Hope joins the Park community with a background in teaching and public service. Early in her career, Hope was a high school English teacher at Towson Catholic High School. Excited to assist underrepresented students attend college, Hope accepted the role as an Educational Advisor for the Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth. Ready for an adventure, in 2015, Hope moved to Nederland, Colorado, and thoroughly enjoyed her experiences as the Executive Director of the Nederland Downtown Development Authority and Manager of the Nederland Food Pantry greenhouse and community gardens. Upon returning to Baltimore, Hope began substitute teaching at Park School, where she knew that she had found her tribe. She joins the IT department filled with enthusiasm to proactively manage the school’s database and website.
Hope is inspired by Nature and motivated by Peace. When she is not hiking or tubing down the Gunpowder, she loves spending time with her family, friends, and pup Lucy. Hope also appreciates meeting people, exploring new places, crafting, and delicious recipes. She believes the secret to her success is providing stewardship to people and the environment through kindness, love, and volunteerism. Hope holds a B.A. in English from McDaniel College and a Secondary Teacher Certification from the University of Colorado, Boulder.
