Important Dates

Beginning Dates for the 2026-2027 School Year

Essential Readings

In preparation for the fall, we ask that you read the following documents. We will spend time exploring Park’s mission, philosophy, and commitment to DEI work at our orientation meetings on August 24-26.

To Do and Know Before August 15

To Do

  • Your Teaching Materials: As soon as possible, connect with your department chair or division principal about the scope and sequence of the material you’ll be teaching.
  • Device Request: Faculty members are provided a laptop for their work at Park. The IT department offers a choice between a Macbook Air and a Windows PC. The exact Windows PC model varies based on availability, but it is typically a Lenovo or HP. Please email your preference to Andy Scott so that our IT Team has time to set up your device prior to your start: [email protected].
  • Info for Faculty/Staff Website Directory: Please fill out this form so that we can get started on writing your bio for our employee directory. (Headshots will be taken during orientation!)
  • Summer 2026 Read: All faculty will read the book Upgrade Your Teaching: Understanding by Design Meets Neuroscience by Jay McTighe and Juddy Willis, M.D. We have copies for you in the front office. Come pick yours up!
  • New Faculty Forum: All faculty in this cohort will join Josh Wolf, our Director of Teaching and Learning, for five Tuesdays over the course of this year to connect with one another and discuss Park’s approach to progressive teaching and learning: September 29, December 8, February 9, April 6, and May 18. In late August, you also will receive calendar invites for these dates, so please check your Park email address and accept them.

To Know

  • Please review The Faculty Guide (link) and review it with your mentor in the fall.
  • You have been assigned A MENTOR from your department, grade level, or division. Your mentor will be in touch soon and will support your preparation for the fall. If you have not heard from your mentor by mid-July, please let Priscilla know. Here is a copy of the Mentor Guide (so that you know what is being communicated to them this year).
  • We’re here to help you as you join our Park School community. Email Priscilla Morales with questions, and either she or someone else will get back to you. Welcome aboard!
