Liz Hirsch

Co-Director of College Counseling and Upper School English

Liz has been the Co-Director of College Counseling at Park since 2007, and she also teaches a section of Upper School English. Courses she’s taught at Park include Greek Classics, Crime and Culpability, and Great Books.

For over a dozen years at Park, she was the faculty advisor for the KIPP tutoring partnership. The partnership is taking a break currently, due to Covid restrictions.

Liz began her career in college admissions at Wesleyan University. She subsequently worked in college counseling at Sidwell Friends School in Washington, D.C., The American School in London, The Bush School in Seattle, and School Year Abroad in Zaragoza, Spain. In addition to her college counseling work, she taught at each school (English or history) and has served in various roles, such as Class Dean, Lacrosse Coach, Faculty Representative to the Board of Trustees, and Senior Project Coordinator. 

Liz has presented at several conferences on topics relating to college counseling, including advising first generation college students and financial aid.

Liz holds a B.A. in Religious Studies from Wesleyan University and an M.A. in Liberal Arts from St. John’s College. She is the parent to two Park students in the Classes of 2022 and 2025.
