Jamie Gordon Altchek ā98
Associate Director of DevelopmentJamie is the Associate Director of Development, focusing on raising funds to help ensure that an exceptional Park education is available and accessible for generations of students to come.
In her previous role as Director of Stewardship and Capital Campaign, Jamie most recently oversaw The Promise of Park, the most successful capital campaign in Parkās history. The Promise of Park enabled the school to make significant campus improvements including building the new Upper School Science and Engineering Wing, a complete renovation of the Pearlstone Wing, including the creation of a new Lower School Multipurpose Room, enhancements to the baseball and softball facilities on Sugar Campus, and the revitalization of Parkās Challenge Course. Through the Promise of Park, the school was also able to significantly increase the endowment, which supports all aspects of the schoolās operations.
In addition to her full-time job in the Development Office, Jamie puts her legal background to good use as one of the coaches of Parkās successful Mock Trial Team. āThe many hours a week that I devote to this activity reinforce what we all already know ā that Park students are incredible!ā
Prior to working at Park, Jamie spent six years at the Ethical Culture Fieldston School in New York City as an assistant first-grade teacher and in the Admissions Department. Before making a career switch to education, she worked as a Labor and Employment attorney at a large law firm in Manhattan.
Jamie earned a B.A. in Psychology from Emory University, a J.D. from Fordham Law School, and an M.S.Ed. in General Childhood Education from Bank Street College of Education. Her two daughters are Park students in the Classes of 2029 and 2032.
