Alison Penning
Lower School Visual ArtsAlison teaches visual art to grades two through five in the Lower School, and also manages the Lower School garden. She has run after school clubs on bookmaking, cooking, ceramics, gardening, and bugs.
Alison holds a B.A. in Art History and English from Williams College and an M.F.A. from University of Virginia, where she studied creative writing and painting. In addition to teaching art, Alison has worked as a librarian at an international school, a garden science teacher with Middle Grades Partnership, and a creative writing instructor for undergraduates. She is an active member artist of the Potters Guild of Baltimore.
