Park Competes in AVAM’s 2024 Kinetic Sculpture Race

Category:

On Saturday, Park competed in the American Visionary Art Museum’s annual Kinetic Sculpture race through downtown Baltimore. Though the team faced many challenges throughout the race and the rain, attitudes remained positive as they persevered for 15 miles through city streets and parks, mud, and sand obstacles.

Julie Rogers’s Engineering for the Kinetic Sculpture Race class worked all semester on creating their “Statue of Li-BEAR-ty” sculpture for this year’s Monuments + Masterpieces themed race. Congratulations to the team (and supportive family and friends) on their monumental effort to compete in this spectacular Baltimore event!
