Park Welcomes Jen Hewett as our 2024 Diana Lee Fox ’75 Resident Artist

Category:

This week, Park welcomed Jen Hewett as our 2024 Diana Lee Fox ’75 Resident Artist. Jen is a printmaker, surface designer, textile artist, and author and was on campus for two days sharing her story and working with students of all ages.

During Lower and Upper School assemblies, Jen shared about her early inspiration in block printing and how that process led her to design fabric for the quilting and home sewing market, and home collections for national manufacturers and retailers. She worked with Kindergarten and Middle School classes, and spent the whole afternoon leading an Upper School workshop where students designed and carved blocks to print on their own pieces of fabric.

Jen’s work can be seen in our current exhibition, Color and Flow, which features two other artists, Maggie Boyd and Alex Ebstein, and Park School students. Thank you, Jen, for sharing your work with us!
