Bringing Bikes to CAmp:

Learn to Ride (Level 1, Ages 4-7)
During the first two days of camp, please do not send your child’s bike. Campers will begin on our specially fitted balance and training bikes to build confidence and foundational skills. Starting on Day 3, we invite campers to bring their own bikes so we can support a smooth transition to independent riding.

Learn to Ride 2 (Level 2, Ages 6-9)
For this level, we ask that campers bring their own bikes in good working order so they can practice and advance their skills on the equipment they use at home. If your child does not have a bike available, we have a limited number of bikes that can be borrowed by request. To reserve one, please email us with your camper’s height so we can ensure a proper fit.

Register here through CampBrain.

What’s the day like?

When your child is with PedalPower Kids,
they’ll…

  • Receive high-quality, individualized instruction in bike riding and bike safety, rooted in the mission: to help every kid feel Super Confident, Super Safe, and Super Happy on their bike.
  • Experience a supportive learning environment where they build essential skills (balance, pedaling, braking, maneuvering) and gain a sense of independence, fun and exploration on two wheels.
  • Be part of a program that believes bikes change lives — and wants to see more kids riding for fun, freedom, and community connection.

When your child is with Park Camps,
they’ll …

  • Enjoy a vibrant camp environment on a 100-acre wooded campus, offering arts & crafts, board games, physical education, and swimming.
  • Be part of a community built on positive expectations, intellectual inquiry, collaboration, respect for differences, and nurturing curiosity and growth.
  • Have fun, make friends, explore outdoors (and indoors as needed) and benefit from the care of dedicated counselors who each camper knows by name.

Why this partnership makes sense:

  • Shared purpose: Both organizations believe strongly in building confidence, fostering growth and engaging children in meaningful, fun experiences. PedalPower Kids builds confidence and independence through cycling; Park Camps nurtures curiosity, creativity and community through varied camp experiences. Together, they combine movement, skill-building and camp-style enrichment.
  • Balanced day: Kids get the best of both worlds — the physical confidence, freedom, and skills of bike riding, plus the creative, social and recreational adventures of a camp environment.
  • Seamless logistics: Families will follow the standard Park Camps drop-off and pick-up procedures, with extended care available for convenience. The transition between the two programs is built into the day, making the full-day routine smooth and straightforward.
  • Flexibility and safety built-in: In case of inclement weather, the schedule is adjusted to ensure every camper gets ample bike time, and indoor facilities (such as the Blaustein Gyms) are available if outdoor riding isn’t possible.

Whether your child is just beginning to ride or looking to level up their bike skills — and wants a camp experience full of creativity, movement and connection — this hybrid program brings together the best of both worlds.

We invite you to register for this new, full-day offering that merges PedalPower Kids’ expert bike instruction with Park Camps’ rich camp-style programming.
