Social Studies Presentations
Sixth Grade Social Studies
The sixth grade Social Studies program culminates with a research project. Students present posters which depict cultural, social and economic information about a country. Parents are invited to see student presentations of their research. Presentations include proposals for socially responsible businesses that will benefit each country and an investigation of an environmental habitat unique to that country.
Seventh Grade Social Studies
As a culmination of their work, each seventh grade student writes a research paper on an activist who sought to change history. Additionally, students design original monuments symbolizing the subjects of their research. The monuments are then displayed to the Park community. The purpose of the project is to commemorate activism or injustice using symbolism.
