Judith Sorgen-Borgnia

Middle and Upper School Spanish

Judith teaches Spanish in both Middle and Upper Schools. She is the Latinx Affinity Group coordinator in Middle School. For Upper School, Judith developed and teaches two elective classes about Hispanic Cinema and Hispanic Literature.

She worked with other Spanish teachers to create a Park School Spanish textbook that is in use for Spanish 2 classes.

Previously, Judith taught Hebrew in her native Buenos Aires and later worked in Haifa, Israel, as a community leader and teacher supporting disadvantaged children and teens. She has developed bilingual curricula at The Success for All Foundation for Title 1 schools in the U.S. Prior to coming to Park, Judith taught Middle School Spanish at Krieger Schechter Day School.

Outside of school, Judith likes spending time with her family and friends; she enjoys dancing and outdoor activities: hiking, biking, camping, kayaking, and going to the beach.

Judith has a B.A. in Education and Sociology, and an M.A. in Education from the University of Haifa, Israel. She is the parent of a Park School alumnus in the Class of 2020.
