Josh Lauren ’03

Alumni Director

As Park’s Alumni Director, Josh is responsible for planning and executing alumni events, alumni engagement programs, alumni career support, and our alumni social media strategy.

Josh graduated from Park in 2003, attending from Pre-K through 12th Grade. After college, he joined Teach For America and taught Middle School history and English, and coached Middle School Boys Basketball in the Navajo Nation in rural New Mexico. After completing his commitment as a Teach For America Corps Member, he moved to San Francisco and worked as a college counselor and mentor for three years with a college access organization called Summer Search. He then joined the Talent & Recruitment Team at Achievement First Public Charter Schools as a Recruitment Director in Brooklyn, New York. Just prior to joining the Development Office at Park, Josh spent six years in Western Massachusetts as the Regional Director of School and District Partnerships for Teach For America – Massachusetts. 

Josh coaches the Boys’ JV Soccer team in the fall and the Boys’ Varsity Lacrosse team in the spring. 

Josh holds a B.A. from Skidmore College, double majoring in American Studies and Government. He presented his senior thesis, “If You Build It They Will Come: A Case Study of Professional Sports Franchise Relocation in Baltimore & Cleveland” at an academic conference and won the 2007 American Studies Faculty Award at Skidmore.
