Janna Rice
Upper School Visual Arts and Exhibitions EducatorJanna is a member of the arts faculty, and serves as Park’s Exhibitions Educator. She teaches courses in portfolio development, digital and darkroom photography, and graphic design.
A professional artist, Janna’s background is in photography, graphic design, and illustration. Before coming to Park, she was employed as a photographer for orthopedic surgeons, working in the operating room to photograph surgical procedures and with patients having limb lengthening surgeries. She taught full time at Stevenson University, and has worked as a freelance designer creating medical journals, and as an illustrator for medical publications.
Janna exhibits her photographic work, and has been included in many art shows and exhibitions over the past two decades.
Janna has a B.F.A. in Photography from the Maryland Institute College of Art, and an M.F.A. in Digital Media from Towson University. She is the parent of a member of the Class of 2019.
