Emily Minter

Challenge Course Coordinator

Emily oversees all Challenge Course operations during the school year and throughout the summer for Park Camps. She facilitates team building, aerial adventure activities, and outdoor and experiential education programming. Emily finds creative ways to integrate Challenge Course programming with other departments in the school.

Emily has been working in adventure programming and challenge course operations since 2011. She has professional experience leading and managing outdoor trips, including backpacking, hiking, caving, and kayaking. She is a member of the Association for Challenge Course Technology and presents annually at their challenge course conference. She has also presented at the American Camp Association’s Tri State Conference.

“I strive to create an environment where everyone can find a way to engage with and enjoy the outdoors, even those who are apprehensive or inexperienced with the outdoors and outdoor activities.”

Wilderness and Remote First Aid certified, Emily is a First Aid and CPR instructor for the Red Cross. She has completed college coursework in Dance Performance and is a classically trained ballet dancer, having danced professionally with a company for many years. In her free time, Emily seeks even more outdoor activities, like backpacking and caving.
