Ride Along with the Kinetic Sculpture Race!


Join our Upper School engineer-artists as they take their human-powered 13-foot-tall sculpture — “The Statue of Li-bear-ty” — on an all-day adventure through the streets of Baltimore, into the harbor, and across sand and mud challenges!

Support the team and enjoy this spectacular Baltimore event! This year’s theme: Monuments + Masterpieces. Join anywhere along the race route! No motor-powered vehicles on the course…ride along with your bike!…or park and walk to any of the checkpoints and challenges.

Some pro tips: To see ALL of the vehicles in their most pristine form, go to the start of the race at AVAM; to see the most spectacular fails, head to the waterfront for the water entries; to take in two fun challenges — the sand pit and the mud pit — head to Patterson Park; to celebrate the participants, head to AVAM for the race finale.
