Bingo FAQ
What is Family Bingo and what do I get with registration?
It’s a super fun all-family, community event, open to friends, neighbors, and extended family as well! Each registered player gets one set of bingo cards to play 18 games and a “dauber” (a special bingo marker). If you just can’t get enough bingo, at the event you can also purchase optional extra cards (to play multiple cards per game) and cards for 2 additional “Special” games! Proceeds from the event support Parents’ Association programming including the PA Grant Program, May Day, Saturday in the Park, PA speakers, and more!
Are there prizes?
You bet there are! We ask each grade to collect donations from families to create themed baskets which are used as prizes. Winners don’t necessarily win the basket their grade donated. Many baskets are valued at well over $100! If there’s a tie, winners draw cards to determine who gets the basket and who gets a consolation prize. Special prize options this year to appeal to all ages!
Is this for Middle and Upper School students too?
Absolutely! We have SPECIAL prize basket options that winning Middle and Upper school students can choose from!
Can I sit with my friends?
Yes! Seating is at long tables with tabletop signs for each grade. You can choose to sit with families in your grade, old friends, or anywhere you’d like to make new ones!
Who calls the Bingo numbers?
Park celebrities!! Andy Stilling (of recess and extended-day fame) is the main emcee, so you know it’s going to be fun!
Is there food?
Yes! Doors open at noon, and the first game starts at 12:45 — plenty of time to grab lunch and fun snacks before and/or during play! We’ll have boxed sandwiches and pizza, plus beverages, chips, dessert, and candy for purchase (cash payment and student FACTS charges accepted). You are also welcome to bring your own lunch and eat in the gym while playing.
Are there raffles?
We thought you’d never ask! Of course there are! We’ll have multiple raffle baskets as well as a 50/50 cash raffle!
