Bus Transportation
In addition to the safe transport of your children, The Park School Transportation Department is committed to the development of services that will save families time and money, while reducing traffic and emissions.
Park offers bus transportation to and from many areas in Baltimore City and County, and Howard County. Our goal is to limit student travel time to under one hour.
The fee for this service is based on one-way or round-trip travel, and number of transported children per family. You may sign up by trimester, if desired. If you have any questions related to transportation, routes, stops, or fees, please direct your inquiries to our Transportation Department at transportation@parkschool.net or 410.339.4110.
Registration
Registration is offered for the full year and each trimester. The first trimester (fall) is shorter than the winter and spring trimesters. Exact dates may change each year but will typically run as follows:
- Fall Trimester: First day of school to November 1, 2024
- Winter Trimester: November 4 to February 20, 2025
- Spring Trimester: February 21 to the last day of school
Guest Ridership
In addition to Park’s regular trimester or full-year bus service, we have initiated Guest Ridership for students in need of transportation to or from school, provided that space on a bus is available. The service is available to students Pre-K through Grade 12.
The fee for Guest Ridership is $10 per ride, billed to your child’s account. Parents must register a child for each ride prior to boarding the bus. Our current list of community bus stops and times can be found here.
In order to register for a ride, please contact our Transportation Department at 410.339.4110 or transportation@parkschool.net. You will be asked for your child’s name and grade, the bus route/stop, the date of the ride, and whether they are riding AM or PM (or both). We will check availability, and will confirm with families.
Transportation Information
Park continues its bus program built around community-based stops allowing for minimal ridership requirements and designed to keep travel times to a minimum.
Registration information and finalized route information is now available below. The viability of routes is dependent upon participation levels; please let us know of your interest in any route, or if you have any questions.
Bus interiors are cleaned/disinfected prior to every trip. Hand sanitizer is also available on all buses.
Idling Reduction
In recent years, Parkās third graders took the initiative to research the environmental and economic effects of idling engines. We have implemented a practice whereby drivers of gas and diesel vehicles on the Park campus ā cars, vans, trucks, buses, motorcycles ā are asked to cease idling for any period longer than 10 seconds. Thank you for your participation in this effort! Our bus drivers have also adopted a modified idling program whereby bus idling is limited to the amount of time required to adequately warm up the bus engine for efficient and extended operation.
Registration for Bus Transportation opens on August 12, 2024 at 9 a.m.

Delayed Bus Schedule Information
One-hour Delay A.M.
Buses will depart Park School to be at its first bus stop one hour later than the regular time. If a bus stop is normally 7:15 a.m., it will be 8:15.
Two-hour Delay A.M.
Buses will depart Park School to be at its first bus stop two hours later than the regular time. If a bus stop is normally 7:15 a.m., it will be 9:15.
Early Dismissal Due to Weather or Unexpected Campus Issues
Buses will depart at the decided publicized time. Bus stop times will follow as close to the regular schedule as possible. So if it normally takes a half-hour for the bus to depart and get to your bus stop, it should take the same half hour, even if it’s earlier in the day. This is, of course, dependent upon weather conditions, and we will strive to make sure everyone is aware if we foresee further delays from stop to stop.
