Benjamin Rome

Third Grade Homeroom

Benjamin is a third grade homeroom teacher. He teaches all general subject areas, and is particularly interested in social-emotional learning. 

Most recently, Benjamin taught fourth grade at Catherine Cook, a progressive school in Chicago. Prior to that, he taught third grade at a school in Providence, Rhode Island. He has also previously held a number of roles in education, including a high school behaviorist, a leader for science-based field trips in Florida, and an experiential educator on a sail boat that traveled to Nova Scotia. 

Benjamin holds a B.A. in Education and a minor in Environmental Science from Flagler College, and a master’s degree in School and Clinical Counseling from Roosevelt University.

“If I’m not at Park, I’m probably cooking, watching the Food Network, reading a cookbook, or eating! I take breaks to play softball/baseball or go for a run.”
