The Park School’s Winter Break Camp

For Campers Ages 4-11 (Current Pre-K-5th Grade Students).

The Park School’s Winter Break Camp brings the same spirit of adventure, creativity, and community that families love about Park Camps — this time during the holiday season!

At Park Camps, our 100-acre wooded campus is the perfect place for children to explore, play, and grow — even in winter. Our caring teachers and counselors get to know each camper’s personality and interests, making sure every child feels welcomed and supported. With staff who embrace the joy and fun of the season, campers experience a warm, engaging environment where they can thrive.

This December, join us for exciting camp days filled with sports, arts, games, and winter-themed activities designed for elementary-aged children (Grades Pre-K–5). Whether indoors or outdoors, campers will have opportunities to stay active, be creative, and connect with friends old and new.

Registration opens on October 3 at 9 a.m. in CampBrain. We can’t wait to welcome you to Park Camps this winter!

Daily Activities and Sample Schedule:

Daily Activities:

Just like our summer camp, Winter Break Camp groups campers into dens, each with a lead teacher and supporting counselors who guide them through a variety of engaging activities each day. Dens are organized by age: Cubs (Pre-K–K), Bears (Grades 1–2), and Bruins (Grades 3–5). Campers participate in a mix of den activities, specialty workshops, PE, and art, with each day capped by an all-camp activity that brings everyone together to celebrate the season and strengthen connections across camp.

Cubs days are filled with playful exploration, creative crafts, and plenty of movement and outdoor time. Bears begin to take on more independence through hands-on projects, group games, and activities that encourage teamwork. Bruins dive into deeper experiences that spark creativity, leadership, and collaboration. Across all age groups, campers will enjoy seasonal touches — like winter-themed art, nature walks, cozy games indoors, and festive group activities — that make Winter Break Camp feel both special and memorable.

General Information

Lunch and Snacks: Lunch service is not available. Campers are required to bring their own lunch and snacks.

Drop-Off and Pick-Up Procedures: Drop-off and pick-up follow the same procedures as our summer camp.

  • MORNING DROP-OFF takes place from 8:15 to 8:30 a.m. AFTERNOON PICK-UP takes place from 3:15 to 3:30 p.m.
  • EXTENDED CARE: Extended Care runs from 3:15–5:30 p.m. The cost for Extended Care is $40 per session and takes place in the Kindergarten Building. Campers who are not picked up by 3:30 p.m. will join extended care for a $30 drop-in charge. In addition, any campers who are not picked up by 5:30 p.m. will be charged $15 per quarter hour late, rounded up to the nearest quarter hour.
  • CUBS: Drop-off and pick-up for the Cubs campers takes place at the Kindergarten building. Cubs parents/guardians are required to park in the main lot and walk into the Kindergarten Building where they will drop-off and pick-up their camper.
  • BEARS AND BRUINS: Drop-off and pick-up take place at the overhang of the main building. Once you turn onto Park School Drive, continue straight down the hill until you get to the overhang. The carline will be on the right side of the road at the bottom of the hill.
    • Families that have a Cubs camper and a sibling in an older age group: Please first drop-off and pick-up your older child under the overhang, then proceed to park in the main lot or Kindergarten circle where you can drop-off and/or pick-up your Cubs camper from the Kindergarten building.
    • On your first day of camp, campers will receive two carpool cards. Display this card on the passenger side dashboard or visor so that the counselors can see who you are picking up. This is very important so that we can radio ahead and have your child ready to hop in. If you are picking up more than one child, please display each child’s name. Need additional cards? No problem. Email parkcamps@parkschool.net.
    • Please DO NOT exit your car during drop-off or pick-up. Camp staff oversees drop-off and pick-up to ensure that it happens safely and efficiently, and counselors help campers get into or out of cars and buckle into seat belts if necessary. If you need extra time at drop-off or pick-up, please park your car and walk over to drop off or pick up your child.
    • Email Park Camps (parkcamps@parkschool.net) to share specific information about late drop-offs, early pick-ups and/or change of pick-up person. We ask that this information is shared as far in advance as possible so that we can plan accordingly. If sharing information about a late drop-off or early pick-up on the day itself, please call the camp office at 410-339-4120. All late arrivals and early pick-ups will take place at the Lower School drop-off circle.

What to Wear and Bring to Camp:

  • Families should label EVERYTHING (clothes, water bottles, etc.) with the camper’s first and last name.
  • Campers should come prepared for indoor and outdoor activities. Campers should bring a warm coat, hat, gloves, snow/water pants, boots, and athletic sneakers for PE. They should also bring a complete change of clothes, including underwear, shirt, and pants.
  • Campers should bring a water bottle, lunch (include a cold pack; refrigeration and microwaves not available), and snacks (at least two, with a third if the camper stays for extended care).
  • Please leave all valuables, toys, and electronics at home. Each camper will be assigned a cubby to store belongings.
  • All lost and found items will be held in the Lower School office. Park Camps is not responsible for any lost or stolen items.

Nurse Information

While Winter Break Camp does not have a nurse on site, families can feel confident knowing that all den leaders and camp administrators are certified in CPR and First Aid. In addition, a staff member with formal training and certification in medication administration will be on hand to ensure campers’ health needs are safely supported throughout the day. Families are encouraged to share any health information or medical needs in advance so that our staff can be fully prepared. If a health concern arises during camp, parents will be contacted right away to keep them informed and ensure their child receives prompt attention.
