Grandparents
Grandparents, welcome to the Park School community!
At The Park School, grandparents are valued members of our community.
We invite all grandparents to connect, learn, and engage with the life of the school throughout the year. Whether you’re staying connected through The Bruin Bridge, our quarterly newsletter for grandparents, attending a Lunch & Learn, joining us for a campus event, volunteering, or taking on a leadership role with the Grandparents’ Committee, there are many ways to be involved, gain insight into a Park education, and build meaningful relationships with fellow grandparents, faculty, and staff.
Throughout the year, all grandparents are invited to participate in signature programs such as our Lunch & Learn series, Lower School Grandparents’ and Special Guests’ Visiting Day, Middle School Grandparents’ Tours, and other special events that celebrate and strengthen our grandparent community. Recent Lunch & Learn topics have included the arts at Park, the impact of the Upper School Civil Rights Trip, and the philosophy behind human sexuality education in the Lower School. These conversations offer grandparents the opportunity to hear directly from students, faculty and administrators, ask questions, and deepen their understanding of the experiences that make a Park education unique.
The Grandparents’ Committee is a volunteer leadership group that helps shape and support these opportunities throughout the year. Committee members welcome new grandparents, assist in planning and hosting signature events, and serve as ambassadors who help foster an inclusive, connected, and engaged grandparent community. New members are always welcome.
If you are interested in finding out more about how you can get involved, please contact Jess Loria at [email protected] / 410.339.4174.
