Middle School Math

Linda teaches Middle School math.

Prior to the 2022-23 school year, she held a dual role as the Lower School Learning Resource Teacher for Grades 3-5, and as the Lower School Math Coordinator for Grades K-5.

She began her teaching career after several years as a stay-at-home parent. Her first professional position was with Baltimore City Public Schools, where she taught third grade and middle school mathematics. She came to Park in 2006 as a second grade teacher, later became a fifth grade teacher, and has been in her current roles since 2016. Linda is a member of the Lower School Student Support team, the Lower School STEAM educators team, and the Lower School Special Area teaching team.

“One of my most fervent goals as an educator is to help young learners to approach math with joy and curiosity and to recognize that everyone can ‘do’ math!”

Linda holds a B.A. in International Studies and Geography from Towson University, an M.A. in Instructional Design from UMBC, and she formerly held dual Maryland state certification in both Early Childhood and Elementary Education, and had achieved Highly Qualified status in middle school mathematics education.
