Jenny Sorel

Upper School French and Modern Language Chair

Jenny chairs the Upper School modern language department and teaches French, and organizes the French Exchange program.

She is an advisor to the Park Service Club, and serves on the Resident Journalist Committee.

Courses that Jenny has taught include electives such as Les croisées francophones, Enfance et Adolescence à travers le cinéma, and À Table, as well as French 2 and Intensive French, where she’s created and developed the curriculum over the past several years.

Prior to Park, Jenny worked at Bryn Mawr School for 15 years as both French teacher and as Dean of Students. Her most recent presentation was on her film elective at the Modern Foreign Language Association Conference.

Jenny has a B.A. in French from Haverford College, with coursework in her major from Bryn Mawr College. She is the parent of a Park School student in the Class of 2023.
