Wednesday, January 11 • 6–7:30 p.m. in the Blaustein Lecture Hall
Parenting Potholes: When Your Past Trips You Up. How making sense of your past can unlock family resilience in the present.
If we want to nurture resilience in our children, we must practice the skills and mindsets to respond flexibly in the tough moments. We each harbor within us the experiences and emotions of our younger selves, and sometimes these past selves show up when parenting. In this workshop, participants will learn strategies for responding when your past emerges in the present: how to stay grounded in your values, how to stay connected when your child is melting down, and how to reconnect and repair when you lose your footing.
Dinner and childcare provided. Please RSVP by Friday, January 6.
